Zusammenfassung:This paper presents the seismic response characteristics of viscous dampers in extremely small excitation. Real-time on-line tests were conducted using viscous dampers to examine the influence of sliding resistance force on the extremely small excitation. In addition, the damping characteristics of the viscous dampers are compared with a linear model. This paper shows the importance of accurately modeling the characteristics of viscous dampers in the extremely small excitation.
