Zusammenfassung:Bhumi: Mother Earth was a production by Sanggar Cudamani (Cudamani Studio) created for the group's American tour in 2018. Earth as theme was inspired by Bali's social and cultural life, as well as present environmental issues, including exploitation, pollution, and threats posed by humans to our biosphere. Interviews with collaborators, as well as the author's testimony as choreographer, are shared. Bhumi was based on the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hitakarana (Three Causes of Well Being) presenting its ideas accessibly in music, dance, and choreography for local, national, and international audiences. I Nyoman Cerita teaches in the dance department of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI), Denpasar. He has worked with Sanggar Cudamani as choreographer since the founding of the organization over twenty years ago. His work has toured internationally as well as being featured in Balinese traditional and contemporary performance venues. He holds an MFA in Dance Ethnology from UCLA and PhD in Cultural Studies at Udayana University in Denpasar.
