Zusammenfassung:The literature on the production of fly ash at thermal power plants and its level of processing in Russia and abroad is reviewed. The properties and applications of fly ash are described. The use of fly ash, as a source of aluminum and silicon oxides, for manufacturing refractory products based on mullite, cordierite, or forsterite-spinel compositions is considered in more detail.
