But with technological advances come increased potential for malicious, damaging attacks. Utilities owe it to themselves and their customers to have a proactive cybersecurity practice in place by taking “cyber hygiene” seriously and evolving with technology. CCE, or consequence‐driven, cyber‐informed engineering, adds another layer to cybersecurity strategies and helps utilities establish organizational and engineering practices that ensure resilience.
