Zusammenfassung: | In this article, gain‐bandwidth of microstrip antenna (MSA) fed half wavelength Fabry‐Perot cavity (FPC) antenna is enhanced by modifying partially reflecting surface (PRS) and artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) surfaces. Two methods are considered to analyze the resonant condition of FPC antenna. In the first method phase correction is applied, to take into account the modification in AMC layers, while in second method the entire AMCs and PRS surface of the structure is taken as a unit cell.
