Zusammenfassung:The reaction was represented in scheme-2 Synthesis of 6-amino-2-((2-oxo-1,2-diphenylethylidene)amino)hexanoic acid(C3): A mixture of lysine (0.01 mole), benzil (0.01 mole) and a drop of acetic acid was dissolved in ethanol(25ml) and heated on a water bath with continuous stirring for 2-3 hours. The reaction was represented in scheme-3 Synthesis of -((2,2-dihydroxy-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1 H-inden-1-ylidene)amino)-3-mercapto propanic acid(C4) : A mixture of cysteine (0.01 mole), ninhydrin (0.01 mole) and a drop of acetic acid was dissolved in ethanol (25 ml) and heated on a water bath with continuous stirring for 2-3 hours. The antibacterial studies performed by standard disc plate diffusion technique using DMSO as solvent on different species of pathogenic bacteria that is E. coli and S. aureus showed that the derivatives C1andC2 derived from aliphatic amine and aromatic aldehydes were effective against E.coli, C3andC4 derived from amino acids were effective against Staphylococcus aureus.
