Zusammenfassung:There are several steels employed for making boilers and their components. T91 is the most commonly used grade of steel by several manufacturers of boilers as boiler steel. Conventional T91 steels respond with several problems in high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive environment. Hence several methods were employed to resists these problems such as using spray coating processes and modification in type of fuel. Hot corrosion is the main problem among these problems which leads to various economic issues and loss of life of the material. This paper aims to discuss the comprehension studies of hot corrosion performed with T91 steel by several researchers in different environments by using several coating processes.
