Chelate method for the synthesis of 3-amidino-substituted 4-pyridones

An efficient synthetic procedure to obtain 3-( N -benzoylamidino)-substituted 4-pyridones has been developed based on the reaction of difluoroboron complex of N -benzoyl-substituted diacylketene aminal with primary amines.
