Zusammenfassung: | Human needs or `Voice of Customer` (VoC) and its respective requirements would have to be taken into consideration in order to develop usable products. By employing the QFD (Quality Function Deployment) method, the VoC are systematically matched with the product characteristics and it would be able to improve the quality of the product. This paper discusses the use of QFD method in order to develop a system known as the Energy Efficiency Estimation System (EEES). EEES is a system that is used to estimate the energy consumption for consumers who lived in the residential buildings. It can help consumers to estimate their energy consumption, and in the process helping them to manage and ultimately in reducing their energy consumption. The QFD method is used to translate customers need in EEES into product characteristics. The QFD analysis of the EEES development had revealed that Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS), measuring equipment, type of housing, guideline and training were among the highest degree of importance. |
