Zusammenfassung: | It has been revealed that the modern sedimentation on the Laptev Sea shallows, which have been solely affected by erosion in the past, has intensified. This occurs against the background of a rise in sea level. The activation of the modern sedimentation is caused primarily by factors related to climate warming: a decrease in sea ice extent, as well as cryogenic and hydrodynamic processes. The sedimentation accompanied by the formation of islands is attributed to the rising positive morphostructures. |
