Effect of the Crystallographic Texture in the α Phase on the Anisotropy of the Properties of Pseudo-α and (α + β) Titanium Alloy Sheets

The range in which the α-phase texture in hot-rolled sheets made of VT18U, VT41, and VT25U titanium alloys changes is found. Yield strength contours are calculated using the integral α-phase texture parameters. The yield strength anisotropy is shown to decrease with increasing β-phase content to 25...

Zusammenfassung:The range in which the α-phase texture in hot-rolled sheets made of VT18U, VT41, and VT25U titanium alloys changes is found. Yield strength contours are calculated using the integral α-phase texture parameters. The yield strength anisotropy is shown to decrease with increasing β-phase content to 25 vol %, but it continues to depend on the texture of the α phase.
