Zusammenfassung:The current work invisages the formability studies on aluminum alloys (RR58) of sintered preforms at different working conditions such as change in aspect ratio, density, temperature by carrying out upsetting test. The effect of strength coefficient (k) and strain hardening exponent (n) have been studied in detail and the inferences are correlated with earlier findings. The phenomenon of barreling has been vividly investigated and correlated with the results obtained from finite element analysis. The radius of curvature of the barrel obtained from experimental work coincides well with the calculated values and barreling radius calculated from finite element analysis concur well with the experimental findings.
