Zusammenfassung:Coastline changing in the waters of Northern Bengkulu occurs very rapidly due to abrasion, so along the Jalan Lintas Barat Sumatera (Jalinbar), there are many vulnerable road segments. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to study the ocean wave patterns that cause abrasion in this location. In this study, numerical modeling and field measurement surveys were carried out. Based on the results of this study, verification of abrasion segment and abrasion speed from model simulation on the survey locations is quite in accordance with the abrasion speed which ranges from 2 to 3 meters/year in all locations, except in Urai Village that has abrasion speeds from 4 to 5 meters/year. To overcome coastline changes due to abrasion in the northern part of Bengkulu, installation of breakwaters in Southeast and Northwest direction in a segment of Pasar Pedati - Kerkap and Bantal - Muko-Muko are suggested.
