Zusammenfassung:In the present report, optical and Raman spectral properties were extensively studied. Ni-doped CuO nanoparticles were prepared using the sol–gel method. X-ray diffraction patterns confirm that the prepared particles have the space group of C 2h 6 with monoclinic structure. Optical studies show that there is a broad absorption spectrum in the whole visible regime due to surface plasmon oscillations (SPR). Raman spectral measurements taken using 532 nm excitation found that three Raman peaks centred at 276 cm −1 (A g ), 330 cm −1 (B g ) and 616 cm −1 (B g ), respectively. Doping of Ni ions shows a redshift in Raman peak position. In the present work, the influence of Ni doping on electron–phonon coupling and phonon lifetimes has been studied extensively.
