Zusammenfassung:Samples of powder cotton cellulose modified by sterically hindered phenol fragments, whose composition and structure were established using methods of elemental analysis, IR and NMR 1 H spectroscopy, were obtained. Antiradical activity of the obtained samples of modified cellulose was determined in their reactions with a stable radical—2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl. It was established that modification of cellulose by sterically hindered phenol fragments leads to sharp increment of its antiradical activity. Hydrazide derivative of cellulose shows antiradical activity comparable with that of antioxidant Ionol (2,6-di-tret-butyl-4-methylphenol).
