Zusammenfassung:The paper presents a study in stability of ceramics of hafnium carbide-nitride subjected to impact of a nitrogen plasma jet in air atmosphere. The best thermal resistance was demonstrated for ceramics with N/C ≈ 0.698, which is determined by the maximum of surface temperature and minimum mass loss in the series of HfC-HfN solid solutions.
