Zusammenfassung:The aim of this paper consists in developing a probabilistic approach for predicting the fatigue reliability of rubber parts. The prediction is based on Wöhler diagrams. The scattering of (i) the Wöhler material parameters, (ii) the type of the used rubber, and (iii) the applied loading are taken into account in the proposed model. The Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) technique is utilized in the suggested model. The results indicate that this probabilistic methodology adopting the MCS requires a very limited computational effort, thus having the potential and ease as a practical tool to be employed in a lot of engineering applications using rubbers.
