Zusammenfassung: | We discussed in detail slope stability analysis method based on saturated and unsaturated consolidation analysis method. Field equations, soil water retention curve model named Tangential Model, and elastoplastic model with two suction effects named Kohgo Model were discussed on the base of three soil water retention situations. A series of 1 g failure model tests, which have shallow and loose surface sand layers on a relatively hard foundation and can be often seen in natural slopes, were simulated by using the method (Code name: GEOCUP). It was found from the experimental model tests that rainwater accumulated at the toes, pore water pressures changed from negative to positive there and the failures commenced from there as the failure mechanism. Those experimental results were well simulated by using the method. The method has a potential to be the most powerful analysis tool for evaluating slope stability problems due to rainfall. |
