Dielectric and Impedance Spectroscopic Characteristics of Lead Calcium Titanate Borosilicate Glass Ceramics

Various glass compositions ( x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7) in the system 55[(Pb x Ca 1 –  x )O · TiO 2 ] · 44[2SiO 2 · B 2 O 3 ] · 1V 2 O 5 were synthesized by employing melt–quenching technique. Subsequently, their glass ceramics were obtained by given suitable heat treatment schedule. The X-ray...

Zusammenfassung:Various glass compositions ( x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7) in the system 55[(Pb x Ca 1 –  x )O · TiO 2 ] · 44[2SiO 2 · B 2 O 3 ] · 1V 2 O 5 were synthesized by employing melt–quenching technique. Subsequently, their glass ceramics were obtained by given suitable heat treatment schedule. The X-ray diffractometer technique was used to identify the phase and crystal structure along with assessment of the cell parameters. The scanning electron microscope was used to study the surface morphology of the synthesized GC samples. The detailed electrical study of three GC samples, with x = 0.0, 0.3 and 0.7 was carried out using LCR meter. The lead free GC sample, x = 0.0 possesses highest dielectric constant, 19 127 at 50 Hz and 500°C due to space charge polarization.
