Zusammenfassung:This is part 2 of a 2-part special edition of Peace and Conflict: The Journal of Peace Psychology entitled The Challenge of Being Latina: Personal, Political, and Economic: Academic and Vocational Concerns. In this introduction we introduce the journal and provide a background on the unique intersection of race, sex, and socioeconomic status that Latinas inhabit. Further, we explore the challenges Latina students and workers face related the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy, managing the academic pipeline, agricultural labor, documentation status, and managing an increasingly hostile political climate in the United States.
