The Peace Contributions of Indigenous and Afro-Colombian Organizations within the context of the 2016 Colombian Peace Process

Recent literature on the contribution of civil society groups to peacebuilding processes has noticeably stimulated a function-oriented approach. The present article offers a contribution to an acutely important task to examine the role of five ethnic organizations, historically committed to peace in Colombia. Using different examples and confronting the liberal and the communitarian epistemological framework, it presents the main findings of the experience of these groups within the 2016 Colombian Peace Process.
