Análisis de las medidas tomadas por los Gobiernos de Colombia y Ecuador a favor de la industria turística durante la pandemia generada por el COVID-19

The evolution of the disease and therewith the measures taken by each of the goverments has affected local economies in an uncertain way, and a priori to the facts, measures have been taken to keep safe one of the most affected sectors such as the tourism. In order to learn about the measures taken by the governments of Colombia and Ecuador, this document analyses the governmental provisions of each country for the sector. In this way, it will be determined whether or not the strategies of each country where correct to mitigate the negative impacts of the pandemic. Sin embargo en Latinoamérica el caso es más problemático; a finales de mayo la OMT reporta que la región sobrepasó a Estados Unidos y Europa en el número diario de nuevas infecciones de coronavirus; es así que hasta el 20 de mayo se reportaron 106.000 nuevos casos de la infección - la mayor cifra diaria desde inicio del brote pandémicomuchos de los cuales concentrados en varios países latinoamericanos (BBC Mundo, 2020a).
