Zusammenfassung:Semi organic nonlinear material of amino-nitrate (d-GPC) has been synthesized and single crystal grown from aqueous solution of pH=4.8 at room temperature. Transparent crystals of 8 x 6 x 4mm3 have been obtained in 2-3 week’s time. The solubility of d-GPC has been determined in water. The grown crystals have been characterized by powder XRD, FTIR and UV Spectra. The grown crystal belongs to orthorhombic system with cell parameters a = 14.827 A.U, b = 13.287 A.U, c = 9.954 A.U and unit cell volume of 1961.30 (A.U)3. The presence of fundamental groups has been verified. A wide transparency window useful for optoelectronic applications is indicated by the UV Studies with cutoff wavelength λ max = 216 nm. The optical second harmonic generation conversion efficiency of d-GPC is found to be 0.66 times that of KDP using characteristic 1064nm Nd- YAG laser (Kurtz and Perry method). Also photoconductivity, I- Vcharacteristics have been carried out.
