Zusammenfassung:This article investigates phrasemes with supernatural components and pseudokinegrams (phrasemes with fictitious body movements and reactions) that are used in conflict dialogues of Croatian and Slovenian literary works for children and youth. The analysis shows that the characters in the corpus of both languages use phrasemes with supernatural components in direct speech. Pseudo-kinegrams are used in character speech or descriptions of nonverbal behavior. In pseudo-kinegrams of both languages, facial expressions, body language, and gestures appear most often. Both types of idioms are used primarily to express negative emotions, but they do not cause a conflict, they rather reinforce what was said or serve as a final thought.
