PHYSIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES AND PHYTOCHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF ENDEMIC ORIGANUM BOISSIERI

Plants have been natural materials used for different purposes from past to present. Medicinal uses of plants are very common. In this study, endemic Origanum boissieri Letsw. was used as material. Phenolic contents of the plant, chemical components, some physiological properties and element contents were determined. As the physiological parameters, chlorophyll a + b, carotenoid, anthocyanin, total phenolic, non-protein -SH groups, total carbohydrate and protein analyzes of the plant were done using spectrophotometer. Phenolic contents were scanned on the LC-MS/MS device. Chemical components were screened using the GC-MS device. Element contents were determined in the ICP OES device. As a result of the studies, it has been determined that it can be used in pharmacological designs as a natural resource in terms of the compounds determined within the plant.
