Zusammenfassung: | In this pilot study we explored barriers graduate students of color experienced entering and during their Master of Library and Information Science program. Preliminary results indicate specific concerns students have about representation within the degree program, and the field as a whole. However, students are optimistic about their role in the field and feel that their experiences and voices will be valued moving into professional positions. Finally, this study helps our understanding of student's perceived barriers entering the LIS field, as we continue future work toward dismantling these barriers. |
