Zusammenfassung: | In the midst of lockdown, as galleries had to keep their doors firmly closed, the Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda announced a competition that was 'developed in response to the constraints of the current global situation'. The award, announced at the end of April, is a new biannual competition with an open submission process for artists working on the island of Ireland. The top award, the Janet Mullarney Prize, is E3,000, with four accompanying awards of E500 each for highly commended works. |
