Studies on a.c. electrical properties of polyaniline/PVA/ flyash free standing film composites

The present work is an exploration of a.c electrical behavior of fly ash cenosphere particles blended in polyvinyl alcohol (PANI/PVA/FA) synthesized via in-situ polymerization with varying (10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 wt%) fly ash cenosphere particles. The samples were characterized using FT-IR, XRD and S...

Zusammenfassung:The present work is an exploration of a.c electrical behavior of fly ash cenosphere particles blended in polyvinyl alcohol (PANI/PVA/FA) synthesized via in-situ polymerization with varying (10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 wt%) fly ash cenosphere particles. The samples were characterized using FT-IR, XRD and SEM techniques. The dielectric loss and dielectric constant response as a function of frequency show Debye-type relaxation mechanism in PANI/PVA/FA composites. At higher frequencies, the dielectric loss of these composites reaches nearly zero, suggesting that these composites are lossless materials at high frequencies (beyond 1 MHz).
