Zusammenfassung:The aim is to study the mechanical, property and wear behavior of A390 alloy/alumina composite reinforced with boron carbide various weight fractions (1%, 3%, 5%) were prepared by stir casting method. In addition, A390 reinforced with grain modifier and grain refiner (1.5%, 1.5%), hardness and tensile properties of these composites were evaluated and compared with as-cast alloy and the composites. In addition, the mechanical properties of composites improve with increasing the weight fraction of boron carbide. This study provides an alternative way to enhance the mechanical properties of A390 alloy/Alumina composite. The study also highlights the different contribution of different input process parameters (like: composition of Al7068 alloy/Alumina and particle size of reinforcement material).
