Zusammenfassung: | Phytochemical characterization of a medicinal herb, Justicia plumbaginifolia J. Jacq., which is used in traditional medicine is presented. GC-MS analysis of the ethanol extracts of the plant revealed the presence of compounds such as cis-pinan and neophytadiene which are reported to have bioactive potential. Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles is also attempted in this study. UV-Visible spectral analysis exhibited a characteristic peak indicating synthesis of silver nanoparticles. SEM analysis was also done to understand the morphology of synthesized nanoparticles. |
