Zusammenfassung:Mitral regurgitation is a common valvular disease that can arise from disorder of any part of mitral apparatus. This valvuler disease either may be due to primary abnormality of mitral apparatus or secondary. Mitral valve prolapsus is the most common of mitral regurgitation in developed countries. The other most causes of mitral regurgitation is enfective endocardit, trauma, ischemic heart disease and rheumatic valve disease. Unlike that, the cause of severe mitral regurgitation in our patient was calcific nodul between A2-P2 scallops according to carpentier classsification and we showed this abnormality with three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography.
