Zusammenfassung: | The H-κ stacking method has been widely utilized to estimate the crustal thickness and the Vp/Vs ratio using teleseismic receiver functions. The presence of anisotropic layers in the crust can be identified, for example, as systematic pattern of Ps converted wave or reversal amplitude Ps arrival on the radial receiver function as function of backazimuth. These effects cause inaccurate interpretation for the crustal thickness using H-κ stacking method. Thus, by using synthetic data, we demonstrate the possible problems which may arise when using this method for the receiver functions in anisotropic crust. In the test models, we used anisotropic variations in the upper, mid and lower crusts to see the effect of this complex structure to the H-κ stacking results. |
