Zusammenfassung: | Solid Lipid nanoparticles are considered to be colloidal systems comprising of lipids, stabilizers and coating materials having a particle size range of 10-1000 nm and are in a spherical shape. Because of the less particle size, the SLNs offers greater surface area and increased drug loading capacity. The only difference between the SLN and nanoemulsion is that the liquid lipid in the nanoemulsion is replaced by the solid lipid in the SLN. Since the SLNs are made up of lipids, they have greater biocompatibility when compared to the polymeric nanoparticles. Dispersion is achieved by adding the melt to hot aqueous surfactant solution with continuous stirring Homogenisation with piston gap homogeniser and the formed emulsion was allowed to cool to room temperature leading to the formation of SLN. |
