ADVANTAGES: * It's easier way of administration is the major advantage for the patients who have problem with swallowing of drugs such as patients in shock state, stroke victim, bedridden patients, patients who are suffering from kidney failure, pediatric, geriatric patients[28,29]. * Produces pleasant taste effect that change the medication perception. Swelling: In this mechanism disintegrating agent starch imparts the disintegrating effect. Because of inadequate swelling force, highly porous tablets shows less disintegration whereas with sufficient force the tablets show low porosity with good disintegration. |
