Zusammenfassung:Pleurocorols A ( 1 ) and B ( 2 ) with unprecedented carbon skeletons were isolated from the fruiting bodies of Pleurotus cornucopiae . The structures of compounds 1 and 2 were determined by using spectroscopic data and X-ray crystallography as 11(9 → 8) abeo -ergostane and 5(6 → 7), 11(9 → 7)di abeo -ergostane steroids, respectively. Their inhibitory effect on nitric oxide production and their cytotoxic activity against cancer cell lines were evaluated.
