Synthesis of 2-[4-(2,6-dimethylphenoxy)benzoyl]-benzoic acid pseudochloride and its transformation to polyarylenephthalide

New compounds, 2-[4-(2,6-dimethylphenoxy)benzoyl]benzoic acid and its pseudochloride, were synthesized. Pseudochloride was used as the monomer to obtain new polyarylenephthalide, which is of interest for designing the materials with unique electrophysical properties.
