Zusammenfassung:For a state of such modest size and population, Liechtenstein’s contribution on a particular concern of global significance has been remarkable. This has entailed a sustained and single-minded determination to foster ratification and implementation of the Kampala amendments to the 1998 Rome Statute on the crime of aggression under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. Protracted negotiations and compromises were required to accomplish the necessary amendments. Central to this effort has been the dedication and expertise of long-serving ambassador to the United Nations Christian Wenaweser. From the outset, full incorporation of the crime of aggression under the Rome Statute has remained controversial.
