Zusammenfassung: | A hybrid type of ion exchanger polymethylmethacrylate–manganese vanadate composite has been synthesized by mixing polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) into inorganic material manganese vanadate. The physicochemical properties of this materials were determined using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), infrared (IR), and thermal analysis (TGA and DTA).Thermal stability and distribution behavior were also studied to understand the cation-exchange behavior of the material. Sorption studies showed that the composite cation-exchanger has high selectivity to Eu(III) in comparison to other metal ions. Its selectivity was examined by achieving some important binary separations. The thermodynamic parameters such as Δ

have been calculated from the adsorption of Co(II) and Eu(III) onto polymethylmethacrylate–manganese vanadate composite and manganese vanadate and by using thermal decomposition behavior. |
