Zusammenfassung: | In the previous paper, we presented a mechanism to improve the seismic performance of external thermal insulation wall with cellular plastic foam for wooden houses. In this paper, we present the test results of the wall with fiber insulation instead of the cellular plastic foam. The external thermal insulation wall with fiber insulation usually have furring strips for the exterior, because fiber material does not have compressive strength to keep the exterior on it. We propose some installation patterns of furring strips, and the test results describe the vertical strips bring more toughness for the wall than the horizontal strips. |
