Zusammenfassung:Statistical analysis, after cone correction, on X 3 P O and X 4 P O pnicogen bonds suggests that the ∠X-P O prefers linearity and the linearity is more prominent in the case of X 3 P O. With an increase in the electronegativity of X, the preference for linearity also increases. Cone corrected statistical analysis suggests that the X-P O angle prefers linearity which is more prominent in the case of X 3 P O compared to X 4 P O pnicogen bonds. This preference also increases with an increase in the electronegativity of X.
