Zusammenfassung: | May 2020 marks 75th anniversary of the day imprinted in popular memory as "V-Day" = Day of Victory. Sociologists do not stand aside with their analyses of social facts related to the War, as well as of interpretations of the war itself, popular (and that of social groups). They study changing historical memory, agents, subjects, actors influencing this process, emerging mythology of the war and the Victory, etc. Journal staged a distance 'Round Table' inviting expert sociologists to discuss some issues listed below, which focus attention not so much on the past (though this aspect is analyzed as well using sociological methods and tools), as on present day issues. We invited the participants to dwell on the historical memory topic related to 1941–1945 events, оn celebrations of the Victory and on how popular consciousness reflects this victory and this war. |
