Zusammenfassung: | The present study analyzes the moisture dynamics of thermally treated poplar plywood heated to 170, 190 and 210 °C through a thermo-vacuum process. The water absorption coefficient and the residual moisture content were determined using the floating and submersion methods (prEN 16818). Thermally treated poplar plywood was less reactive within the hygroscopic field, while it absorbed a higher amount of water beyond the fibre saturation point and maintained a higher moisture content at the end of the absorption/desorption cycle. |
