Zusammenfassung: | A 41‐year‐old male was diagnosed with tongue cancer. Preoperative imaging revealed no metastatic lymph nodes. Intraoperative sonography detected a minute hypoechoic lesion in the sublingual space. A pea‐sized mass was found during dissection of that space and histopathology revealed a metastatic lymph node. The lingual lymph node should routinely be evaluated sonographically prior to surgical resection of tongue cancer. |
