Enhanced Biodecolorization of Synthetic Textile Dyes by NTG Mutagenesis
Decolorization potential of different dyes, namely Procion Red Yellow, Acid Yellow-9, Direct Orange-102 and Crystal Violet, by two NTG-induced mutants as well as a wild type of Pseudomonas fluorescens was studied. The mutant M 1 possessed significantly better potential as compared to the wild type i...

Zusammenfassung: | Decolorization potential of different dyes, namely Procion Red Yellow, Acid Yellow-9, Direct Orange-102 and Crystal Violet, by two NTG-induced mutants as well as a wild type of
Pseudomonas fluorescens
was studied. The mutant M
1
possessed significantly better potential as compared to the wild type in the case of all the studied dyes. However, in the case of the mutant M
2
, there was a decrease in the decolorization of all the dyes. The decrease in decolorization was found to be increased with increasing concentration of the dyes. |
