Zusammenfassung: | We have been investigated the structural and elastic properties of Thulium Polonide (TmPo) under high pressure using an inter-ionic potential theory with necessary modification which includes the Coulomb screening effect. The TmPo exhibits first order structural phase transition from their NaCl (B1) phase to CsCl phase at 9.8 GPa with volume collapse 7.3%. We have also reported bulk modulus, second order elastic constants (SOECs) C11, C12, C44 and pressure derivativesat high pressure which show predominantly ionic nature of this compound. |
