Zusammenfassung: | Maturity in Project Management (PM) is directly related to the organization’s ability to manage its projects. In sport, the management of sports organizations and the realization of events have become complex, approaching different areas and requiring the proper construction of projects. In this context, the objective of the research was to identify the level of maturity in PM in the organizers of running. The research is characterized as applied, descriptive and quantitative, being carried out based on the Prado-MMGP maturity model. Twenty-four companies that organized street races in the city of São Paulo were identified and the questionnaire, based on the Prado-MMGP model, was applied online between May and September 2018, and responses were obtained from four companies. The respondents were all men with average age of 45.5 years, graduates in different areas, but none in PM, with high positions and in companies for more than 6 years. The companies are of different size and only one with project management sector. The average maturity level was 3.26, equivalent to the standardized level of the Prado-MMGP Mode, with companies varying between 4.57 and 2.30 points. The average is higher than the average level of maturity in Brazil and of companies that organize events in general. The study, by its novelty in the sport, contributed indicating which points should be improved in the PM of the companies analyzed and fostering the research on the PM and its maturity in the Brazilian sports organizations. |
