Zusammenfassung:One of the alternatives adopted by the Brazilian state governments in the search for alternatives to face the crisis and optimize their planning, monitoring and evaluation processes is the institution of project management models focused on the achievement of goals. In this context, this article analyzes the model adopted by the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (RN), reporting the experience in the implementation of Project Management Office and in the celebration of Management Contracts to achieve goals. The methodology adopted is based on the case study, presenting the results of a survey with Sectorial Project Management Offices of the RN, which obtained the perception of forty six respondents about the implementation of this new management model for results in the RN. In addition, qualitative analyzes were carried out with the Central Project Management Office team, systematizing the activities during the 2017 exercise. The results of the data point out important elements to be followed in the implementation of a strategic monitoring routine and in the performance of the Project Management Office, constituting a bank of lessons learned for governmental entities that seek to improve their deliveries and generate public value.
