Isolation and characterization of microsatellite loci in Euphorbia lamarckii Sweet (Euphorbiaceae) from the Canary Islands

Zusammenfassung: | We isolated and characterized 10 polymorphic microsatellite loci for Euphorbia lamarckii Sweet, which is an important endemic plant species on the Canary Islands. At the population level, the number of alleles (A) detected per locus varied from 2 to 13, and the observed (Ho) and expected (He) heterozygosities were 0.042–0.875 and 0.117–0.880, respectively. These primers provide powerful tools for studying population genetic diversity and colonization history of E. lamarckii, which will be valuable for conservation of this endemic species in the Canary Islands. |
