Analysis and management of fixed network terminal life cycle

Shanghai Telecom took the lead in piloting the urban optical network FTTH service since 2010. During this period, it has experienced 8 major speedups and invested a large amount of funds every year to purchase fixed-line terminals. The current fixed network terminals mainly include optical network terminals, set-top boxes, smart home intelligent networking and other equipment. Through research on the life cycle and management mode of fixed-line terminals, the closed-loop management of fixed-line terminals is realized, and the basis for evaluating the overall vitality of home gateway devices of various manufacturers is formed. Network terminal reuse rate, thereby realizing the gradual increase of user bandwidth, reducing the cost of terminal replacement and improving terminal management efficiency.
