Zusammenfassung: | The research results presented in this article are linked to the research project Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) and Teaching, whose purpose is to compare the offer of the subject Libras in licentiate degree courses of two public institutions. The purpose of the phase presented here is to discuss the impact of the subject Libras on the initial beliefs of the undergraduate students regarding the concepts of Deafness and Sign Language, based on questionnaires applied at the end of the subject in 2016, at both institutions. From the analysis of the collected answers it was possible to perceive changes in the perception of the undergraduate students as much in relation to stereotyped and depreciative characteristics in relation to the deafness as in what concerns to the status of the sign languages as natural languages. |
